Shot on locations in Ojai, California, “American Reunion” spans the twenty-four hours before the 20th high school reunion of the class of 1981. Five friends, one younger brother and a mysterious photojournalist are brought together through the efforts of the town’s high-spirited Latina mayor who is determined to reunite her old core group and remember the “good times”. In this humorous, thoughtful and entertaining film, the central characters begin to learn that this reunion is not about memories or moments, but rather about what kind of people this group has become now versus who they were then.

An example of FilmMates Entertainment’s policy of discovering and developing new young talent, “Living Life” was written, produced and directed by 18-year-old Jesse Harris. Harris shot the film in his native Seattle while still at high school and initially used his college funds to finance the production. As a result, he has gained the respect of established filmmakers for the quality of his work. The film tells the story of a 17-year-old boy, Jason Miller, who has his whole life before him – or so he believes until he is diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. Through a talent for performing magic, Jason helps himself, his family and others as he battles for his life in an emotional and uplifting movie.
